I got a pack of dried beans in the pantry. Instead of making chili i decided to use them for something else. Hence this beany burgers!
2 cups beans, mashed (whatever type you like. i used white beans in here)
1/2 pound ground beef
hamburger seasoning (season to taste)
1 tbsp all purpose flour
1/2 cup minced onions
3 cloves garlic minced
selection of your favorite burger condiments (lettuce, pickles, cheese etc.)
dressing of your choice (i just mixed equal amount of ketchup and mayo for this recipe)
How to make Beany Burger
Mix the 1st 7 ingredients and form your patties
Heat some oil in the pan and fry the patties.
As I flip to cook the other side i usually put on top a slice of cheese to heat it through and melt it a bit.
Set aside the cooked patties. Personal preference to heat the buns also in the same pan after i took the oil off it. You can heat your buns whichever way you like or if you prefer not, there's no problem about it.
Set up your burgers putting in your choice of condiments. Eat and enjoy a healthier version of your favorite burger!
