korean bbq (kalbi/boneless short ribs)
*2 lbs kalbi (boneless short ribs)
grated ginger, 1 T
grated garlic, 1 T
grated onion, 1 T
grated korean pear (optional, but lends a fantastic flavor), 1 T
mirin, 1/2 C + 2 T
kikkoman soy sauce 1 C
honey 3 T
brown sugar 3 T
sesame oil 4 T
freshly cracked black pepper
sesame seeds (optional)
chopped green onions (optional)
How to make korean bbq (kalbi/boneless short ribs)
Marinate for at least an hour; best overnight.
In lieu of a korean bbq cast iron grill pan, any ordinary grill pan will do.
Cook for a few minutes on each side. Do not overcook.
How to eat: Wrap in lettuce. Eat it like a burrito.
